July 4th

My July 4th was quite uneventful. The only thing I did today was go to the Hickory Crawdads baseball game. 4th of July games at L.P. Frans Stadium are always a huge event. Almost 5000 fans turned out for Wednesday night's game against the Augusta GreenJackets. Since the Hickory Crawdads game is the only source in Hickory for fireworks on this day, it's usually a huge draw in the community. I don't know how many people are really baseball fans, but the people turn out in force. The fireworks show after the game was excellent. I actually thought about taking my tripod to the game and making some more fireworks photos, but I knew the crowd would be quite thick. We are having fireworks again on Saturday, so I'll pack up my tripod and do that this weekend. It's always fun to shoot fireworks.

Up and running… mostly…

I stayed up too late last night playing with this site. I did get my contact form and photo gallery running though. I'm testing out a new utility as I write this post. If it's successful, I will tell you about it later. In the top menu, I have added a page for my photo gallery if you would like to take a look. I haven't completed my blog links to my various friends who I had linked on the old site just yet, but I'll have that updated soon.

Today is the Fourth of July. I really shouldn't be messing around with this. I don't have much of anything to do today except for a Hickory Crawdads baseball game at 7pm. I write a separate blog for Hickory Crawdads baseball. If you are interested in taking a look at that, it's HERE or you can hit the Hickory Crawdads link in the blogroll menu on the left.

The New Website…

Greetings...

Please excuse my mess here while I re-develop my website into something that is more friendly and content-oriented.  During the next few weeks, I'll have everything back up and functioning normally with some new and improved bells and whistles.   I have been using WordPress to manage my blog for quite some time now.  As I have learned the capabilities of this application, I believe that it will manage my website and content perfectly.  Please bear with me while I move my data into the new site...
