On July 30, I took a part time job that was going to take me away from shooting a lot of sports for the local newspaper.  Fortunately, my work schedule left me free on Friday nights, and I have been covering High School Football anyway.  My original intent with the part time job was that I’d be working on nights that would keep me from being able to do this.  After 5 weeks on this part time job, I have determined that I can’t continue to do it, and I’m going back to the sports beat with the local newspaper.  In an effort to keep photography as my supporting income while I’m in school for the next two years, I’m going to be expanding what I’m doing locally as well.  I’ll be providing more details on that effort within the next week or two as I put the pieces of this puzzle together.  I’m looking at some opportunities that should work out nicely and keep me out of some mundane slightly-above-minimum-wage trudgery in the wonderful world of retail.  I’m turning in my notice for the part time job on Tuesday.  I’ll finish out the week until Sunday, and then I’m finished with that :)

It’s been sorta funny lately… I have run into a lot of people at the football games who constantly tell me “I thought you were giving this up”…  All I can say is that….

Shit happens.
