Murray’s Mill Festival

The 23rd Annual Murray's Mill Harvest Folk Festival will be held this year on September 29th and 30th at the Historic Murray's Mill site in Catawba, North Carolina. This is a local event that I enjoy attending every year. It's always held on the last weekend of September and it's a lot of fun. The link I posted doesn't really give you a good idea of what goes on at this festival... there is a lot more than good music to see and hear! You can tour the mill, watch civil war re-enactments, check out some antique trucks and tractors, watch molasses being made, see lots of neat exhibits, and of course, eat too much. I plan to go on Saturday as long as I don't have work to do. Any of you local people interested in going with me, just let me know. I think the Catawba Valley Camera Club has this event listed as a club field trip...
