Fundamental Elements
Jan 30th, 2008 by John Setzler
This photo is #30 in my current “Project 366” photo-a-day project for the 2008 calendar year. This photo is the inside rim of my bird bath in the front yard. I swirled the water a bit with my finger before I snapped the photo with my little point and shoot camera.
I really like contrasty black and whites. The sun was actually a benefit to me in this photo, unlike so many other situations where I wish it would go away… This type of photo also takes me back to some of my core interests in photography. Shape and texture seem to intrigue me as much as anything else.

John, I just discovered you this morning and I can already see that I will enjoy browsing through your old posts. For today, I have a question. Have you checked out Blurb for your SoFoBoMo project? I wondered how it compared with your choice.
Anita Jesse » I have checked into Blurb, and I will possibly use it for some other projects in the future, but this initial publish is going to be done with CreateSpace. One thing I don’t like about Blurb is that you are forced to use their software to design your book. It makes it a little more difficult to deal with if you don’t want their canned designs…
