As for Patrick McHenry, he wasn't my first choice, but I voted for him after he won his primaries. I haven't made up my mind on the upcoming election in that race yet. If you know Mr. McHenry's background as I do, then you know he's one of the most corrupt public officials in the country. By contrast, Lance Sigmon of Newton is more mature (49 years old), a 21-year veteran of the Air Force JAG Corps, a retired lt. col., an attorney for military criminal defendants. He is conservative down to his very core, understands "family values" and marriage, because he has a wife and two teenagers, and in general, has had a variety of life experiences McHenry has never had. Anyone who looks at the two candidates side-by-side can logically come to only one conclusion--to vote for Lance.
