I attended a fund-raising event tonight at the Hickory Community Theater to make photos for the newspaper. Part of the entertainment on the schedule was The Lost Jewels of the Ghawazee ethnic fusion belly dance troupe. This is the second time I have seen this group perform, but the first time was quite a while back. This group performed on the steps of the Hickory Art Museum in June of 2005 at the “Art on the Avenue” event. That event was outside in the daylight and this one was inside under stage light. I enjoy photographing live performances of any kind, so this was no exception :)
