Pro-Am Day 2
Day two of the Pro-Am at the 2009 Greater Hickory Classic proved to be a little more challenging for me as well as those carrying golf clubs. The weather was spotty most of the day, but the second round that had their shotgun start around 1:15pm got to play most of their 18 without much of a problem from the weather in the area. In the photo above, I was at the 4th tee of the Jones waiting for Lee Trevino's group to come up the hill from the third green when the marshall decided to have a little fun with me, so I ripped off a few photos of him. I should have gotten his name, but I didn't...
It's always interesting to watch and mingle with World Golf Hall of Fame members such as Lee Trevino...
...and Tom Kite...
Craig "The Walrus" Stadler may not be a hall of famer, but I think he's probably one of my favorite golfers on this tour. He's here about every year for this event and he's fun to watch. I know I said I wasn't going to do this today but....
Here's a shot of The Walrus clawing his way out of a sand trap on 18 this afternoon :)
The first day of the Greater Hickory Classic tournament is tomorrow, so I'll be at the course most of the day, and then I'll head out to a high school football game in the evening.
