John,

I have a similar situation at one of my clinical sights. Problem was knowing what docs want normal extremity x-rays and what want weight-bearing. I finally figured out the best thing to do was to go directly to the docs assistant and ask him/her what the normal routine was...Also, I have been interrupted doing an IFossa simply b/c the tech did not want to take the time to do it prone (doggy style) - which gives the best shot.

@gaile: We haven't studied caths yet, but I have had a little hands on with it on urethrograms and ureterograms over the summer in my out-patient clinical rotation. It's not as bad as you might think...

You take great pics John! I think it's very cool how your careers will overlap one another. I'm looking forward to hearing how our trauma rotation goes. That part doesn't scare me too much, although I'm not at all looking forward to my first burn victim. I must say though that the prospect of catheterizing someone makes me a bit nervous - only because of how uncomfortable it must be for the patient! have you done this yet, and if so, how did it go?

Hi, I just discovered your site while I was browsing, doing some research. I am also a radiography student. In fact, I just started. Today was my first day of school! I also am making a career change in midlife and find this new path very exciting.

It is fun to discover your site and read about your journey as I go through mine. You've done some very nice work.
